Axis Bank has signaled the potential for further workforce rationalization after its employee strength declined by 3,100 individuals in FY26. Speaking on operational optimization, the bank's management stated that select mid-office and back-office roles could be eliminated to enhance productivity and reduce maker-checker redundancies.
