Biohub, a nonprofit biomedical research organization, is creating a "virtual cell" with the help of Google, Meta, and Isomorphic Labs. The project aims to combat disease by developing a high-accuracy predictive model of the cell, which will enable researchers to perform experiments digitally. The US Department of Energy and National Institutes of Health are also contributing to the $1.8 billion "Virtual Biology" initiative.
