Border Peace Essential For India-China Ties, Says MEA

India's Ministry of External Affairs has stated that maintaining peace along the border is essential for developing overall ties with China. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that border peace gets disturbed when Chinese forces deviate from established patrolling patterns.
His statement follows comments by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police chief regarding recent skirmishes in Arunachal Pradesh. Both nations are using diplomatic and military channels to resolve outstanding issues along the Line of Actual Control.
