IPS Officer Anurag Sujania Resigns After Sagar Hooch Tragedy

IPS officer Anurag Sujania, 38, has resigned from government service, following his transfer as Sagar superintendent of police after a hooch tragedy in September that killed at least 20 people. Sujania's transfer came amid allegations of police protection for illicit liquor sales, which he faced criticism for in 2021 when he was the district SP in Morena. The state government has yet to decide on his resignation request.
