Filmmaker Subhash Ghai and his writing team are currently developing the script for Khalnayak Returns, the sequel to the 1993 hit movie Khalnayak. The team is considering actor Salman Khan for the role of a helpful police officer who supports Sanjay Dutt's character.
However, casting is not locked yet. Director Subhash Ghai stated that it is too early to confirm Salman's involvement because the screenplay is still being written.
