Thousands of Earthen Lamps Illuminate Maharashtra Temple for Dhanteras Celebration

Nearly 5,000 earthen lamps were lit at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Temple in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi taluka during a grand Deepotsav celebration on Dhanteras. The event, organised by Shivkranti Pratishthan, aimed to keep alive the ideals of the legendary Maratha ruler, including valour, sacrifice, and self-respect. Devotees and youth groups participated in the festivities, showcasing replicas of historic forts and competing in a fort-making competition.
