Unruly litigant flings papers, abuses CJI in Supreme Court

High drama unfolded in the Supreme Court on July 10, 2026, when petitioner Prabal Pratap disrupted proceedings. Claiming to be "the sovereign," Pratap aggressively ordered the bench to file an FIR against a Lucknow police official and addressed judges as "judicial servants." He then hurled files into the air and shouted cuss words at Chief Justice Surya Kant. Security escorted him out, and the bench dismissed his petition.
