The India Meteorological Department has issued a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm alert for NTR district, prompting municipal authorities to remove large hoardings and warn residents in low-lying areas. A two-day holiday has been announced for schools, and the temple area has been closed to traffic on October 27. The district administration has set up a command control room and prepared 30 rehabilitation centers to shift people from affected areas.
