Haryana High Court Orders Schools to Comply with Anti-Bullying Guidelines

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered all schools in Haryana to strictly comply with guidelines aimed at preventing student suicides and bullying. The court directed schools to cover complaints of bullying and harassment based on gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, and ensure prompt and confidential handling of such complaints. The guidelines, which were issued by the Supreme Court in 2025, were already in force, but the High Court observed that their effective implementation was the real issue.
