Maharashtra Introduces Strict Fodder Controls Amid Drought Conditions

The Maharashtra government has introduced a technology-driven monitoring system for fodder camps, with biometric attendance and 24-hour CCTV surveillance, to ensure adequate availability for livestock amid drought conditions. The government has also capped fodder prices at Rs 12 per kg and silage at Rs 8 per kg to prevent black marketing. A state-level online platform will be developed to monitor and manage the fodder camp scheme.
