Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to resume US-mediated peace talks with Ukraine as soon as next month, according to the Kremlin. The talks, which will focus on guaranteeing the security of Ukraine and Russia, could begin in Abu Dhabi on or after November 10. The negotiations come after a goodwill gesture from Russia, the release of a US school teacher held in Russia, and amid concerns that the US is backing away from Ukraine.
