Hospitals have reported a sudden spurt in cases over the last few weeks. While healthy individuals experience mild symptoms, elderly patients and those with underlying health conditions face severe complications, requiring hospitalization and ventilator support.
A special POCSO court in Ajmer has fined a woman ₹5,000 for filing a false rape case against her neighbour using her minor daughter. The police investigation revealed the accusation was fabricated due to a land and cattle grazing dispute. The court penalized her for attempting to defame and pressure the neighbour over their personal conflict.
