Swish, a two-year-old food delivery startup, has launched Swish Go, a new feature offering food delivery from external third-party restaurants and cloud kitchens. The service is being piloted in select areas of Bengaluru with no packaging and platform fees, directly competing with Swiggy's Toing and Rapido's Ownly. Orders on Swish Go are expected to take longer than the core app's 15-minute fulfillment.
Biohub, a nonprofit biomedical research organization, is creating a "virtual cell" with the help of Google, Meta, and Isomorphic Labs. The project aims to combat disease by developing a high-accuracy predictive model of the cell, which will enable researchers to perform experiments digitally. The US Department of Energy and National Institutes of Health are also contributing to the $1.8 billion "Virtual Biology" initiative.
Ola Electric's ₹1,000 Cr rights issue is set to open on October 22 and close on October 30. The company aims to raise ₹999.74 Cr, with ₹350 Cr for debt reduction and ₹400 Cr for business expansion. The issue price is ₹27 per share, a 5% discount to the closing price.
